TU Delft has awarded Aerospace Engineering alumnus Bart Reijnen the title of Alumnus of the Year 2017. The purpose of this prize is to honour TU Delft alumni who have achieved recognition in the world of innovation and research and inspire students in their study and career choices.
Thursday, June 8th, the award ceremony of the Marina van Damme Grant 2017 took place with a very special result. Due to the high quality of the nominees, Marina van Damme decided to reward two nominated alumni with the scholarship of 9000 euro. Last year, Lidewij van Twillert received the Marina van Damme Grant. Lidewij focuses on designing personal lingerie through 3D body scanning for her own company Mesh Lingerie.
On 2 March 2017, Delft’s Entrepreneurship Day took place in the Aula of the TU Delft. The goal of this event was to facilitate a low-threshold opportunity to enthusiasm students at the TU Delft for entrepreneurship. The day consisted of three phases: The ‘Startup Playground’, the Symposium and in the end a drink.
May 10th, a special lunch for the Good Friends from the University Fund of Delft, took place at the Amsterdam Institute of Metropolitan Solutions. During this special event, the University Fund Delft introduced his Good Friends to this new knowledge institute.
